Our Doctors Bios Ann Murchison, M.D.

Dr. Ann P. Murchison is one of the few female fellowship-trained oculoplastic and orbital surgeons in the area. Dr. Murchison completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Washington in Seattle, followed by fellowship training at Emory University in Atlanta. She then went on to complete a master’s degree in public health at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health. Dr. Murchison became a member of the Emory faculty as Assistant Professor in 2006. In 2008, she joined the Wills Eye Hospital staff, where she is an Associate Professor on the Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery Service and Director of the Wills Eye Emergency Department. Dr. Murchison specializes in functional surgeries of the eyelids, orbit, and tear drainage systems as well as aesthetic improvements around the eyes, including Botox and fillers.
Dr. Murchison has published over 50 peer-reviewed and invited journal articles as well as authoring and editing multiple books and book chapters. She has been an invited speaker at both national and international meetings in oculoplastic and orbital surgery.
