Pre- and post- operative appointments for LASIK & Refractive Procedures

We offer pre- and post-operative appointments for those who are undergoing standard LASIK surgery, Custom Wavefront LASIK, IntraLase bladeless LASIK or any other corrective procedure. It’s crucial to have this type of care when undergoing vision correction procedures. The pre-operative appointment helps determine which type of procedure would work best and whether the patient has any eye problems or conditions that could affect the outcome. The post-operative appointment helps ensure that the patient’s eyes are healing properly after the procedure is completed.

Cataract Surgery

The development of a cataract is a common part of the normal aging process and an estimated two-thirds of adults over 60 years of age have cataracts. If you’re having problems reading, watching TV and driving at night, you may be dealing with a cataract. Our cataract specialists can remove it so you’ll see clearly by the next day.

Glaucoma Treatment

We provide a range of treatments for glaucoma, from eye drops to innovative laser treatments. Our surgeon will determine what procedure will be best for your needs. Surgery may be the best option if you’re dealing with severe glaucoma. The type of surgery will be one of the following: selective laser trabeculoplasty, laser peripheral iridotomy, endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation, trabeculectomy, or shunt procedures.

Dry Eye Treatment

Dry eye is a medical condition of the ocular surface that affects tear product and the quality of your tears. If you’re affected by dry eye, your vision may be blurred, making it difficult to read, watch television, or see clearly while driving. At Kremer Eye Center, we can reduce or eliminate these symptoms with Intense Pulsed Light treatment.

Corneal Transplants

There are some corneal disorders and injuries to the cornea that impair vision, such as congenital diseases like keratoconus, scars from infection or trauma, degenerative corneal diseases and corneal dystrophies. A corneal transplant will remove the damaged area of the cornea and replace it with a clear corneal tissue from a donor.
