The decision to have vision correction performed was not one I took lightly. I started the process at another local vision correction facility and made it almost to the surgery date, but got an uneasy feeling after never actually meeting with the surgeon who would be performing the procedure. I cancelled the surgery date and rethought going through with it. I decided to giver Kremer and Dr. Aronsky a chance after again deciding that vision correction was something I wanted. I have thin corneas and am on the border of not even being eligible for PRK. The staff at Kremer made me feel at ease about the condition of my eyes and were honest about the risks of PRK with my vision. I was able to meet with Dr. Aronsky prior to the procedure and after reviewing my medical information, he was adamant that my vision could be corrected to 20/20 or better and he was true to his word.
I am almost 2 years post-op and I could not be happier with my results. The recovery for PRK was brutal, but I was fully informed about the pain and was able to manage it. I have some residual nighttime dryness, but it pales in comparison to being able to see perfectly each and every day. Dr. Aronsky and his staff at Kremer were informative, caring, and knowledgeable about the procedure, the risks, and the recovery. I highly recommend this location and Dr. Aronsky for any vision correction procedure. Thank you so much for freeing me from my glasses!!!!!
20/20 without my glasses and contact lenses! I can finally see myself in the mirror now and my clock when I wake up in the morning. It is amazing how things are so much more convenient after PRK. You will never regret getting it done, so do not hesitate. This will be the best decision you will ever make in your life.
My wedding is coming up in 6 months, and I am so excited to go in without worrying about being so uncomfortable with my contact lenses. Thank you again Kremer for all of your help!

Being an Optometry student, nearing being an Optometrist, I am frequently asked how is “Lasik”. I have always recommended patients to have it done but never with personal experience as a patient. After observing Dr. Pronesti and his staff with pre-op exams, I decided to have Lasik done. I was then recommended PRK instead after Dr. Pronesti and his group evaluated my eyes due to irregularities of my cornea. The procedure would take about the same amount of time but with longer recovery time. To my amazement, Dr. Pronesti’s timeline on what to expect (visual acuity, pain, discomfort etc) was on the money. For PRK, visual acuity for first two days were 20/40, 20/400 for two days then 20/40 after for about a few days with 20/20 vision within the next few weeks. Currently I am happily better than 20/20 after 2 months post surgery as expected. Pain and discomfort was minimal. I do occasionally feel that my eyes are dry in the morning, but it is very much minimal compared to having to search for my glasses as I wake up.

It was great. Nothing what I expected it to. In and out. Had the best procedure, best staff, couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Having PRK surgery was the best thing I’ve ever done! It’s great waking up and not having to wear glasses or contacts every day! I almost forget what it used to be like! Thank you to everyone, especially Dr. Aronsky for making me feel at ease.

I was so impressed by everyone I encountered at Kremer. I had to have PRK surgery instead of lasik and was hesitant because of the longer recovery. I was well educated by the physicians and Nicole from your billing department arranged for me to speak with a Kremer employee who had PRK surgery so he could tell me about his experience. Overall, my recovery was almost exactly as I was educated to expect, and my vision is incredible! I am so thankful I chose Kremer.
I underwent PRK surgery with Dr. Aronsky in June or this year. in the beginning, I was a little nervous about the PRK when compared to the WaveFront Lasik due to the lengthened recovery time. However, I am in the field of law enforcement where it is preferred that no incisions are made.
On the day of my procedure, I was in an and out of the surgery room in about 10 minutes. Everything went as expected and I was sent on my way. There was quite a bit of discomfort on the way home from the procedure. It hurt pretty bad, but it wasn’t the worst ever. I went home and took some pain killers with the recommended 6 hour nap and all was well.
I didn’t see any better the next day and of course I thought the worst. However, over the next few days my vision progressed.
By day 4 post-op I went from 20/600 to 20/50.
By day 10 I was up to 20/30.
By day 21 I was at 20/20.
By day 28 I was 20/15.
And to top things off at my last visit in late August I was 20/10!!
I could not be happier with my results. Thanks Kremer!!!
